THE BIBLE CALLED NATURE
March 12. Joshua ch 16-18
Bible CALLED NATURE
18] For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, [19] because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.
[20] For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. Romans 1:18-20 NASB1995
GOOD DAY: A man wrote to me to ask if it is only through reading the Bible that one can know God. He started with those who can't read and those who have not been exposed to the Bible at all. He even mentioned a friend of his who became so averse to the Bible that he destroyed his Bible because of how people were interpreting it to perpetrate evil. I asked the Holy Spirit to teach me how to answer him and others who may be in the same position. It was then that He dropped the phrase “The Bible Called Nature” in my spirit.
Verse twenty of the scripture above tells clearly how nature shows the attributes of God which leaves no one with any excuse not to know Him. Nature teaches the same lessons about God from generation to generation without the help of any teacher. The sun and moon, day and night have been since creation. The beauty of plants; birds; butterflies of all sorts tells of the glory of God. Reproductive cycles of all organisms that always require male and female; the knowledge that mankind has no matter the race, gender or color shows the majesty of God. The way God provides for birds and animals that neither sow nor reap shows the caring nature of God. If we keep counting, we can never say enough. With or without the Bible, nature speaks of God.
PRAY: Dear Lord, open our eyes that mankind may always see You in Your works around them and give glory to You.
