IN HIS LOVE

March 28.       1 Samuel ch 10-12

IN HIS LOVE, GOD PATIENTLY WAITS FOR YOU. 

””But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.“

GOOD DAY: When we don't see the punishment instantly or in our own time, we assume that God is either incapable of correcting wrongdoing or He condones it. Neither is correct. A woman who has given birth will appreciate God’s patience in not wanting to destroy the sinner but wanting him to come to repentance. Creation cost God something; He gave His life to Adam. If you want to understand this more, read the book of Jonah. It is an interesting short read. God does not want anyone to perish so He leaves a long rope and sends messages and samples of what His judgment could be to all concerned. We however refuse to listen and repent until the cup runs over and His judgment unfolds. It is the judgment that makes us ask why bad things are happening. In His time of patience, let us repent as individuals and people in general so we don't get to the end of the rope. 

PRAY: Dear Lord, the message of repentance and change of lifestyle are not popular yet the rewards of wickedness and disobedience to You are sure. Help us to listen and repent to avert the destruction of our ways.
