BEWARE YOU DON'T TIRN JESUS DOWN
March 26. 1 Samuel ch 3-6
BEWARE YOU DON'T TURN JESUS AWAY. THE MANY FACES OF GOD
”I was hungry, but you did not give me anything to eat, and I was thirsty, but you did not give me anything to drink. I was a stranger, but you did not welcome me, and I was naked, but you did not give me any clothes to wear. I was sick and in jail, but you did not take care of me.” Then the people will ask, “Lord, when did we fail to help you when you were hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in jail?” The king will say to them, “Whenever you failed to help any of my people, no matter how unimportant they seemed, you failed to do it for me.”“
Matthew 25:42-45 CEV
GOOD DAY: I wonder what we should tell Jesus concerning the many faces He can present in this age of yahoo syndrome. Many people want to help the stranger but then that same stranger turns around to hurt his helper. That said, we still have no excuse to shut our bowels of mercy. If we choose to be generous to the challenged or lowly, the Holy Spirit will guide us in anyone that could be a potential danger to us. There is the spark of God in every human being because God breathed life into Adam’s nose to make him a living soul. The sick man, stranger, hungry, thirsty or imprisoned may be the face Jesus carries to visit you. When you turn him down, you turn Jesus down. That lowly poor person who is your cleaner or driver or gateman may be Jesus in disguise to you. If you cannot help with material things, help with your words of comfort, encouragement and good attitude. The poor and sick and homeless people too should have good thoughts towards the well-to-do. It goes round. The Jesus on the way to the cross is not the fine face we see in portraits. He still takes that form to remind us of what He did for us.
PRAY: Dear Jesus, thank You for identifying with us. Help me to see you in everybody.
