WE ARE STRANGERS ON EARTH 1
”Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul. Keep your behavior excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing in which they slander you as evildoers, they may because of your good deeds, as they observe them, glorify God in the day of visitation.“

GOOD DAY: Whether we admit it or not, we are strangers on earth for we shall all leave this earth for the life beyond this earth life. While we are here, we must constantly remember that we will go back to our Maker to give account and receive our reward for whatever we do here. ”For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.“
2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV
Really, what leaves the earth is not our bodies. It was made from earth (clay) and to clay it returns in burial. It is our soul that separates from the body and goes back to its source; God. It is the soul that actually relates to the souls of our loved ones or others while we are here in the body.
Elisha puts it thus in his relationship with his servant:
”But he went in and stood before his master. And Elisha said to him, “Where have you been, Gehazi?” And he said, “Your servant went nowhere.” Then he said to him, “Did not my heart go with you, when the man turned from his chariot to meet you?…“

This understanding will inform the way we grieve for our loved ones and will instruct us on how to live while in the body. We shall continue tomorrow God willing.
