September 28.     Amos ch 6-8

THERE CAN BE NO VACUUM

““When the unclean spirit comes out of a person, it roams through waterless places in search [of a place] of rest; and not finding any, it says, ‘I will go back to my house (person) from which I came.’ And when it comes, it finds the place swept and put in order. Then it goes and brings seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they go in [the person] and live there; and the last state of that person becomes worse than the first.””

GOOD DAY: Evil spirits are not what we see as physical forms like they are portrayed in books. They are actually words. Jesus said “““The Holy Spirit is the one who gives life, that which is of the natural realm is of no help. The words I speak to you are Spirit and life. But there are still some of you who won’t believe.”””

‭‭John‬ ‭6‬:‭63‬ ‭TPT‬‬. 

The words of God give eternal life while the words of the devil give death (separation from God). So when the demon in a person hears the word of God and leaves his house, he goes around finding where to rest again. If he does not find a place, he comes back to check where he left. If it is still unoccupied, it goes and looks for seven other demons looking for where to rest and invites them to his house. This is why more of the evil thoughts and ideas multiply in the heart of whoever permits them. Once delivered from a demon by the word of God that you hear, you must keep the word of God in your heart so when the demon comes back to check, he finds your heart full of the word of God. Just as you consciously decide who stays in your natural house, you must consciously decide what spirits reside in your spiritual house. It is my responsibility to keep my soul alive with the words of Jesus that are Spirit and life. 

PRAY: Dear Lord, help me to decipher the spirits that occupy the core of my person, to turn away the evil ones and embrace your word instead.
