WHO DO YOU KNOW MORE?

WHO DO YOU KNOW MORE?
“I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me,”. John 10:14 ESV
“You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God.”” John 8:44, 47 ESV
GOOD DAY: In many parts of the world where there are so many churches in their communities, there is so much evil that their people are migrating to the less churched countries of the world. Even the church leaders in those heavily churched countries send their children to the less churched countries and where possible, they live outside their countries and work remotely with their congregations. The reason for this trend could be found in the words of Jesus today. Under the guise of teaching about deliverance, the flock are made to know the details about every demon in the whole universe and little about God and how to walk with Him. Unknowingly, they plant the very thing they are presumably working against in the hearts of their flock. The flock get hooked to the demons and do their bidding. The people in advanced countries hear much about science and arts and world events and they are motivated by such info that they store in their minds. If we are able to understand how our brain works, we will be able to decide the info we allow into it.
Who do you know more about? The devil and his demons OR Jesus and His angels? You may not deliberately invite a spirit into your heart but when you keep hearing about him all the time, he becomes the uninvited resident who takes control of your affairs. Be careful who you give space in your heart so you are not controlled by the Spirit you did not plan.
You can know who is seated in your heart through the way you pray. Listen to your own prayers. How much of Satan and evil do you address? How many problems fill the time of prayer? How much good do you see to thank God for? How much of the goodness of God do you mention? Check also your conversation with others. The content of your conversation tells who you are familiar with. Check what news item interests you. All these will tell you what rules your heart and motivates you.
Rather than magnify the realities of the time, I thank God that I survive each day in spite of whatever the tide is. I thank God for health and strength and all the other positive things I am able to do no matter how little in spite of the situation.
PRAY: Open my eyes to see You Lord even in the darkness that envelopes the world
