PROVISION IN THE TIME OF SCARCITY

“Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack! The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.” Psalm‬ ‭34‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭ESV‬‬

GOOD DAY. Much as I try to avoid the news flying around on social media, people keep sending them to me and asking what to do or what the bible says concerning the fearful times that they say are coming. They send how globalists are planning to starve the world so as to reduce the world population. Rather than analyzing and seeking more information about these theories, I advocate that it is time to seek and know the Lord. Some scriptures guide my heart that kill fear and anxiety in my soul. The first is   

1 . “Who has spoken and it came to pass, unless the Lord has commanded it? Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that good and bad come?”‭

‭Lamentations‬ ‭3‬:‭37‬-‭38‬ ‭ESV‬‬. If what they are planning and saying is not what the Lord commands, it cannot happen. If the Lord however commands it, then He has His purpose for it and He will guide His children so they do not miss eternity with Him. 

2 “He built fortified cities in Judah, for the land had rest. He had no war in those years, for the Lord gave him peace. And he said to Judah, “Let us build these cities and surround them with walls and towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours, because we have sought the Lord our God. We have sought him, and he has given us peace on every side.” So they built and prospered.”

‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭14‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭ESV‬‬

In this time of peace while they are preparing, like the wise virgin, we should build the wall of our faith. Practice how to get your needs met by the Lord. It is quite tough but the Holy Spirit is there to guide and guard those who trust in him and ask Him. 

3  “My times are in your hand; rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from my persecutors!”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭31‬:‭15‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Our times are in the hands of the Lord. There is appointed time for every purpose by God. Since we do not know our appointed time, we should be prepared for where we shall spend eternity everyday of our lives. 

4. Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Matthew 6:31‭-‬33 ESV

We are not to be anxious for our sustenance but seek the kingdom of God. Food and clothing will be added to us. 

5. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 ESV

God's plans for His people are plans of good and not of evil. No matter what the world plans, it will work out for our eternal good.  

These are few of the scriptures I focus on that give me peace and assurance. Copy them out, add more that you know and keep them in your view to have peace of mind always.
