June 25.         Psalms ch 130 -132

OUTSIDE AND INSIDE

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

1 Samuel 16:7 NASB1995

GOOD DAY: There are two sides to the house called MAN like every other house. The outside and the inside. The outside of the house are the attributes that we can perceive by our five senses. They can be decorated to fool or deceive others. Jesus describes it thus;  “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.

A person can so hate you and wishing you evil inwardly yet playing and laughing with you. Jesus even compared MAN to tombs. If you get carried away by external appearances, you may be setting yourself up for deception and disappointment that can be deadly. A person can pretend to be who he is not to get what he wants. God talks about the heart the inner part of man thus; The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Jeremiah 17:9‭-‬10 KJV

Only God can know the heart of man completely therefore everyone should seek the Lord. The Lord does not reward through what we see but through what He sees in the heart. The way to know the heart of man is if God speaks through the mouth of another person. For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Hebrews 4:12 ESV

You would have experienced saying something and the person addressed begins to pour out the stuff in his heart. Speaking the word of God does not necessarily mean quoting scriptures but God speaking through your mouth. 

PRAY: Dear Lord, speak through my mouth Lord that the intentions of the hearts of people will be exposed. Also, cleanse my own heart too in Jesus name.
