UNDERSTANDING THE JOURNEY OF FAITH

March 13.    2 Samuel ch 18-21

UNDERSTANDING THE JOURNEY OF FAITH (1)

In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His [boundless] might. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places.

Ephesians 6:10‭, ‬12 AMP

GOOD DAY: I remember when we were young and an older person than us wanted to beat or pull our ears for an offense. We would run and hold on tight to an older person who was able to stop the person threatening us. In our journey of faith, we must assume the position of the young child and hold on to and be united to the Lord. At no time should we dare to lose grip of our union with Him for it is from Him that we draw our strength for the journey. When your mind is united to that of the Lord, you are empowered by the boundless power of God's might. To be in union with the Lord, you keep speaking His word in your mind with thanksgiving. If need be, you reason with Him in your mind. Read 2 Chronicles 20:8-13. The whole of Judah reasoned with the Lord and He answered them. When you are able to keep your mind with Him, the power of His boundless might is at your disposal.

Next is to know and believe who the crowd that is shouting you down is. They are the crowd you have to overcome as they are trying to shut you up or block your way to Jesus or cause you to slip. They are the rulers,  the powers, the world forces of this [present] darkness, and  the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places. These are the spiritual forces making up the crowd militating against us and hindering the effectiveness of our faith. They too are unseen and you have to guard your mind against them. You must not think thoughts that are in agreement with them; thoughts of failure, doubt and the like. The summary of this is that I must believe that once I ask the Lord for something, I am given in the spirit realm. However, the crowd of wicked forces hinder me from laying hold of what I have been given. It is this crowd that my faith has to overcome to lay hold on my gift. Tomorrow, we shall go to the next phase of the journey.

PRAY: Dear Lord, teach and help me to stand firm in my faith in you and your love for me.
