“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts.

Isaiah 55:8‭-‬9 NASB1995

GOOD DAY. There is a big difference and gap between the two images. With what man can perceive, the difference between God's image and man's own is as wide as the gap between heaven and earth. A real demonstration of the difference in God's imaging and man's is described in this encounter. But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Man imagines from outward appearance and evidence of pleasure to self. but God imagines from the heart and for the good of the whole creation. No one knows the heart of man except God and the man himself. What man can perceive with his five senses triggers his imagination. When he sees, smells, feels or touches, he imagines how what he perceives could cover him like the leaves covered Adam and Eve after their eyes were opened. Their imagination was for the comfort of being covered and each person to himself. Also, God has left the earth for man to dominate. The heavens are the heavens of the Lord, But the earth He has given to the sons of men. Psalms 115:16 NASB1995

Whatever we make of the earth is what we see and experience. Imagination for man is for self preservation and assertion. We imagine things from a selfish end and not from a holistic view. This is the basis of man’s imagination: “When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.”‭ ‭Genesis‬ ‭3‬:‭6‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

This is the IMAGE parameter for man and it leads to death just as God warned Adam.
