KNOWING GOD 2   THE MYSTERY OF I AM

“and I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as God Almighty, but by My name, Lord, I did not make Myself known to them.”‭    ‭Exodus‬ ‭6‬:‭3‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

“I am the LORD, and there is no other; Besides Me there is no God. I will gird you, though you have not known Me; That men may know from the rising to the setting of the sun That there is no one besides Me. I am the LORD, and there is no other, The One forming light and creating darkness, Causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the LORD who does all these.”‭  ‭Isaiah‬ ‭45‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭NASB1995‬

GOOD DAY. A dear daughter of God sent this comment on “I AM” name of God. 

“Good morning, Sister Bosede,

You really set me thinking, as I had never paused to do before,  of what the name of God I AM means. I thank God and I thank you for this spiritual exercise.

Here are what  came to my mind:

That God is I AM means that He has always been "before Abraham was I am",He is Self-existing, is Complete by Himself, will always exist, is Immortal and Eternal, is unchanging and unchangeable, Unique, Self-sufficient, Independent, Constant” . Awesome God. 

God’s name is known by revelation of Himself. He appeared to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as God Almighty but by His name LORD He did not make Himself known to them. He also said in Isaiah 45, He declared the meaning of LORD as The One forming light and creating darkness, Causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the LORD who does all these.”  From North to South, East to West, He formed all and He is Lord of all. We are encircled by God   The whole of creation is wrappers by God. No wonder the Apostle Paul said in Him we live, and move and have our being. Acts 17:28. If all men will realize this, the world will be a safer and peaceful place for us to live. Meditate the Name I AM again today in context of Acts 17:28 and jot down the way you feel. 

PRAY: Dear Lord, I worship Your majesty. Make Youself known to mankind in ways that will make us revere You.
