ULTIMATE COSTODIANS OF THE EARTH

January 14.                      Exodus ch 3-6

TO WHOM DOES THE EARTH BELONG.

“Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭5‬ ‭KJVAE‬‬

““Blessed [inwardly peaceful, spiritually secure, worthy of respect] are the gentle [the kind-hearted, the sweet-spirited, the self-controlled], for they will inherit the earth.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭5‬ ‭AMP‬‬

GOOD DAY. The earth and the people there are full of competitions and muscle flexing. Individuals and nations struggle for whatever they consider will be of benefit to them even in small ways. Then I look at what we have been discussing about imagination. I ask myself “Lord what if two people or more are imagining possessing the same thing, who gets it”? This verse came to my mind. Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth.

WHO ARE THE MEEK?

The word meek has so many meanings in the dictionary but the ones that are relevant in the spiritual context are humble, lowly, teachable. Meekness is essentially an attitude or quality of heart whereby a person is willing to accept and submit without resistance to the will and desire of God. This is where imagination is not laziness. When you assume that your imagination is real and you have the feeling that it is done even when you cannot see it yet in the natural world, it leads or guides you to actions you are to take. It is who can be conformed to the actions demanded by God for anyone in such position that is meek. It takes energy to yield to the will of God. The will of God is usually contrary to the will of man and any person who will choose the will of God eventually inherits the object of the desire even when he appears to have lost in the first instance. For example, there was an opening for a management position in a company. Two of the employees imagined they occupy the position. In his imagination, one assumed the position of leadership by service which is God's will while the other assumed the position of leadership by driving or bossing it over the other employees which is man's will or human nature. The man playing the boss got the job through deception and outward showmanship.

The meek man did not get discouraged or lose his imagination and his leadership by service feeling and attitude even while he is not the physical occupant of the position. The chosen candidate held the position for six months but all the junior workers revolted against him as nothing really worked. He was always frustrated and emotionally overworked until he had to resign from the company. The meek man was promoted to the position as he was the only qualified person. A meek person is patient and follows God's leading. God knows the way through the wilderness of life and judges all things from a just perspective. Remember, blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth.

PRAY: Dear Lord, teach me to be Your sheep and follow You as my shepherd.
