WORK OUT YOUR SALVATION
December 29. Revelations ch 13-16
WORK OUT YOUR SALVATION
“So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling;”
Philippians 2:12 NASB1995
GOOD DAY. A teacher will not always be with his student to be teaching him how to apply the knowledge he has acquired to life. This in effect was what Paul was saying to the Philippians and what all pastors and spiritual leaders should encourage in their followers. Unless you apply what you learn to real life, your salvation will be in doubt even to you too. Jesus alluded to believers working out their salvation in this parable ‘““Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.”’ Matthew 7:24-25 NASB1995.
So you have to act on whatever you hear and understand for it to profit you and give you salvation from whatever uncomplimentary situation you find yourself in.
Now, consider what you have learnt about thoughts and imagination. How can you apply it to your life? How have you applied it to your life? What difficulties did you encounter? How did you find living in your imagination? Use your pen and paper to write your experience and keep on practicing until you are steady. Doubt is a popular hindrance people encounter. How did you deal with it?
You need to start working out your salvation if you have not. Nobody will do it for you.
PRAY: Dear Lord, please help my unbelief.
