FILL UP YOUR MIND
October 5. Philippians ch 2-4
REFILL YOUR MIND
““When an unclean spirit comes out of a man, it roams through waterless places looking for rest, and not finding rest, it then says, ‘I’ll go back to my house where I came from.’ And returning, it finds the house swept and put in order. Then it goes and brings seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and settle down there. As a result, that man’s last condition is worse than the first.””
Luke 11:24-26 HCSB
GOOD DAY. Once you declutter your mind, you must fill it up with some other thoughts. I look at abandoned houses around. This happens anywhere in the world even in places where high class buildings are abandoned the house becomes dilapidated and lifeless and sometimes force occupied by homeless people. It is the same with a mind that is empty and abandoned.
When your mind is empty, all the thoughts that you dealt with that roaming around looking for where to settle. Remember we learnt that thoughts are spiritual personalities or realities so they go around to see where they can settle. For example, when I dealt with the hurt the young man inflicted on me, I had to fill my heart with blessings for him so that the hatred or vengeance thought will not find an anchor in me again if it finds nowhere to rest. The easiest way to fill the mind is by praise and thanksgiving to God. The bible instructs us to give thanks in all things so I choose to see the reason to give thanks in everything I do. I give thanks for every breath that I take in freely as I had times when breathing was difficult because of catarrh. Thoughts of thanksgiving have been attracting more happenings for thanksgiving and make my mind receptive to divine ideas and instructions. Choose what you will use to fill up your cleaned up mind.
PRAY: Dear Lord, I thank You for the multiplier effect of thoughts. Incline my heart to healthy thoughts that will multiply.
