CRITICAL ASSESSMENT OF MANKIND.

“Then the Lord answered Job out of the storm and said, “Now gird up your loins like a man; I will ask you, and you instruct Me. Will you really annul My judgment? Will you condemn Me that you may be justified? Or do you have an arm like God, And can you thunder with a voice like His? “Adorn yourself with eminence and dignity, And clothe yourself with honor and majesty. Pour out the overflowings of your anger, And look on everyone who is proud, and make him low. Look on everyone who is proud, and humble him, And tread down the wicked where they stand. Hide them in the dust together; Bind them in the hidden place. Then I will also confess to you, That your own right hand can save you.” Job‬ ‭40‬:‭6‬-‭14‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

GOOD DAY. I thank God for humanity and all the inventions in science and technology that have made life easy. However, they have made man feel there is no God and they do not need Him even if He exists. An experience similar to that of Job that a brother wrote to me about gave me an insight into human limitations no matter how much science has advanced. A friend of his who hated him so much out of envy decides to lie against him at their place of work. He was suspended and he kept raining curses using scriptures on his friend. The matter kept dragging and he was becoming frustrated and depressed. That was when he got one of the morning writings and he got in touch. He narrated how good he had been all his life, how bad his friend had been and succeeded at telling lies. In fact in their circle they call him the professional liar who can fashion lies to cover anything up.

The scripture for meditation came to my mind as he was angry with God for not doing anything to help him. We read it and I asked him if in his anger he can even remove a strand of hair from his friend’s head or make his curses manifest. It was then that he calmed down and decided to repent and ask God for peace of mind. Let God be God and judge as He sees fit and right. The first stage of the enquiry got immediately resolved after this and they are facilitating the other parts to completely resolve the issue.

Science cannot change the minds of evil people. Only God can expose and deal with it. Imprisonment, sanctions, electric shock treatment and the many things science has invented, none has given a wicked person a change of heart or repentance. A man released from a jail term will immediately go and commit the same offense at a worse level. Science has no answer but God does. Only God can change the heart of man. He alone sees a man’s thoughts from afar even before he thinks them and He alone is the One who can control as well as turn human actions the way He wishes. He is the just judge who judges righteously. O that God will act fast like in the days of early church with Ananias and Sapphira then the world will know that there is still God who is sovereign. However, if man is troubling you, know that he cannot go beyond the boundaries that God set for him.
