GOD'S WILL OR MAN"S WILL
October 5. Malachi ch 1-3
WILL OF MAN OR WILL OF GOD (1)
“But to all who did receive Him, He gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood, or of the will of the flesh, or of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13 HCSB
GOOD DAY. Birth can come from two sources. First is the will of man and the second is the will of God. This birth can be likened to our imagination to birth situations or transform the world. Desire for a transformation can be from the will of man. A person is in an uncomfortable situation that gives neither joy nor peace. He desperately desires for a change. He either does not believe in God or does not take time to consult with Him at all. He goes ahead and forms an imagination of what he wants with a strong will and persistence. He tells lies and uses all man made gimmicks and the power in him works things out for him. The result is born of the will of man and we’ll see what that brings. The Israelites rejected the will of God and demanded their own will. See the result.
“When they said, “Give us a king to judge us,” Samuel considered their demand sinful, so he prayed to the Lord. But the Lord told him, “Listen to the people and everything they say to you. They have not rejected you; they have rejected Me as their king. He said, “These are the rights of the king who will rule over you: He will take your sons and put them to his use in his chariots, on his horses, or running in front of his chariots. He can appoint them for his use as commanders of thousands or commanders of fifties, to plow his ground or reap his harvest, or to make his weapons of war or the equipment for his chariots. He can take your daughters to become perfumers, cooks, and bakers. He can take your best fields, vineyards, and olive orchards and give them to his servants. He can take a tenth of your grain and your vineyards and give them to his officials and servants. He can take your male servants, your female servants, your best young men, and your donkeys and use them for his work. He can take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves can become his servants. When that day comes, you will cry out because of the king you’ve chosen for yourselves, but the Lord won’t answer you on that day.”” 1 Samuel 8:6-7, 11-18 HCSB
They had their will but the result of it was not what they liked. God told them that when all the horrible things start happening to them, they will call Him but He will not answer them. This is the result of birthing a vision or imagination from the will of man.
PRAY: Dear Lord, help me to pray that Your will be done in all that I desire.
God's will isn't without its own problems, but God's will sustains in times of trouble. God's will is it for me.
