COME OUT OF THE BOAT

September 25.                                        Micah ch 3-5

WALKING ON THE WATER

“But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?””

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭14:27-31‬ ‭NIV‬‬

GOOD DAY. O boy my imagination is actually another  water or a vast ocean while the boat is the usual world's reasoning for doing things.  It takes a lot of courage to walk on it. Remember that imaginations come from thinking on a promise of God that only through His Spirit can it be fulfilled. It is virtual. Now going with Peter I stepped out of the boat leaving the security it provides into the water of my thought leading to my imagination. With deep joy of the Lord convinced that it is already done in the spirit, I start walking in my conviction and trying to maintain that joy knowing that God has given me my desire but it has not yet manifested in the physical realm. Instead of things getting better, it is becoming worse with the facts becoming more real against my demand and conviction.  Some sharp negative thoughts too fly across my mind telling me it is not possible. Definitely, I will doubt and start to sink like Peter. Some of those negative thoughts are easy to silence but others are so stubborn that you can't help thinking about them and planning your life based on them. This is real sinking like Peter.

At this point, you have to cry out to Jesus for help. If you refuse to cry out, you will sink and forget your demand that God has released to you in the spirit realm. Peter started sinking when he took his gaze off Jesus and where he was going and kept it on the storm that was raging. You too must keep your gaze on what God has given you in your imagination and on Jesus and keep your joy otherwise you will start sinking. It is with that joy that you will draw down the promise. When Jesus reaches out to you in the storm, you have peace in your heart.

PRAY: Lord, help me to fix my gaze on You and where you are taking me.
