ALL SUFFICIENT INNER MAN 1 -Jeremiah Ch 46-48
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.” - Ephesians 1:3 NASB1995
“Blessed be the Lord, Who daily
loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.”- Psalm
68:19 KJV
GOOD MORNING. I
am starting with these two scriptures in leading us to understand the inner man
because it helped me to put a good and calming perspective on outward
happenings in my life. First, God has blessed man with all spiritual blessings
in the heavenly places. The heavenly places are not seen with physical eyes. My
inner man as well is not seen with physical eyes either. They are both
spirits.
In
the beginning, God and the inner man of mankind were the same. “Then the Lord God formed man of dust from
the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a
living being.” - Genesis 2:7 NASB1995
In
this state, man was all sufficient. Then in Genesis 3:1-7, man rejected God’s
Spirit at the insinuation of the Serpent. Since then, man became independent of
God’s Spirit and his inner man changed. The change in inner man brought death
and all sorts of painful negative emotions. Unless man chooses to awaken God’s
Sprit by willingly renouncing the independence from God and surrendering his
inner man to God, he cannot see with the eye of God. We will continue
tomorrow.
PRAY: Lord, help me to surrender my inner man to Your Spirit.
